Hey All,
What does it take to permit a permanent ski jump on a lake in Florida? Also, what type lighting does it need and has anyone gone through this process before? Thanks Tom |

well on a ski jump Idk.... but assuming its similar process as a slalom course, I recently contacted Florida DEP, emailed my local office and they called me following day. Again, slalom course, but you have to own property on the lake (really f**ks us poor white trash). DEP sends out a notice to adjoining land owners, if they object, i think theres a process for that. $450 permit fees. You have to be so far from vegetation and shoreline by some unreal distance, no submerged vegetation, must fall within certain depth requirements. Best of luck. Temporary jumps and courses are definitely not legal, even for 5 minutes in Florida.
