Hey Fredo, I found a replacement vintage pennant flag for my 69 nautique from these guys:
A & A Marine <aamarine@classicboating.com> They will be able to match whatever color you want. I found the pole from Overtons |

Fredo, I just checked out the reference section here on this site. I think there is a copy of the '68 sales brochure. The pictures don't give a lot of detail, but you can at least get an idea.

I just bought a pole from ebay for my bow light. Had to do a little "metal carving" to get it to fit, but looks good!
As for the pennant, make sure you allow for any rake in the pole angle..A lot of manufactered ones are for straight poles.Im making a full size pattern of the flag right now. Im talking to someone the first of the week ,to see about making a custom one for me from the pattern. |

wouldnt it be great if there was a company like year 1, or harmons for correct craft theres got to be someone sitting on some NOS parts. thats the most frustrating thing with these old boats NO PARTS. good luck with the custom work fredo68 |

fredo,
Yeah that would be cool! Old boats dont have quite the following for most ropo places to mess with. Ive found a lot of parts( windwings, ski mirror, burgee pole, extra tranny and engine parts, etc), for my 64 ,both on this site and on ebay... PERSISTANCE is the name of the game!!! ( Think CC parts are hard to find?, Im also restoring a 1962 wooden Higgins..less than 200 of these boats known to exist) What all do you need? |

Fredo,
Here's a pic of the flag. I no longer have the flag. But, I do have an exact tracing of the lettering. http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g96/DrCC-74/66burgee.jpg If you like, I would be glad to send you a copy. PS I left a post on your "car engine" post. AT |
