While replacing pumps and gaskets on the front of motor (1975 Nautique 351 escort reverse rotation engine) my old balancer seperated from rubber when pulling it. Do any of you know where to get a balancer for 351 reverse rotation 3 hole?? I heard of getting newer 4 hole (auto type) pulley and newer balancer 4 hole and reversing timing marks on the auto type balancer since mine is reverse rotaion and they are marked oppisite I'm told but not sure what to do. Thanks for any help
Thanks John k.

Fish. You can use a standard rotation balancer. I ran into the same question when I discovered the PO had my 289 rebuilt with a standard rotation balancer. The timing marks where on the wrong side which made accurate timing impossible. I cleaned up my balancer, painted it, and added a standard rotation timing tape, installed in the opposite direction shown in the instructions, and now setting the timing with a timing light is simple.
