Do those scoops still have their tabs intact (that keep them in place)? Shoot me a price on 2 of them.

Also could use the front cooling piece.

Give me about 3 weeks on the shaft, unless you know an easy to measure it.

Obvsiously dessambling and pulling the engine will be the hard part!

I haven't looked, but it's possible to pull the shaft without having to remove the tranny or engine? Anyone know shaft length?

40" is the stock shaft length on all of the 16' boats (both first gen Mustang and 2nd gen Stang/Skier/Tique). Measured end to end.

You can press the coupling off the shaft with the engine in the boat... and having the 2 apart may be the preferred way to receive it. Just like it goes for removal, you can only install them in one piece if the engine is out of the boat.

Do a search for the bolt/threaded rod, nuts and socket trick. It will take a litle while, but is not difficult.

Thanks,
I'll do some reading and pull it! My big fear is i haven't had a maiden voyage in my 1970 yet, knowing my luck the boat has a bent shaft and i sell this one lol.

How about the lifting rings? Do you have better pics of them?

Edit- I found this one on your photobucket. It looks pretty good. I'll have to get a better look at mine in the San Juan.

Todd:

I have an old yellow-faced Aireguide that needs major restore effort. like the one pictured...only no glass. It's yours if you want.......More Period correct for a early 70s boat.

BTW - Loved the Banana Boat when I visited the Deckers in Ohio...VERY cool Boat!

Air206 Steve, Thanks for the offer on the Airguide, but I'll pass and put Mr Chris Mars in line.

Yep, I'm really proud of the Banana Boat, and it is still a work in progress. We had fun and put it in the 2012 CCF Calendar with a bunch of footers. The Deckers were gentlemen and preserved some CC history.

Chris, I pass on the Airguide, and thank you for all of your help and fun at the CT Mini, 2012. Still awaiting Picture Pats photo capture of the event. Hope to have you both back (and your brother and ladies....) to continue where we left off!!

Todd
