Hi,
I've got a '91 Barefoot with the 454. The current prop is a 14x17 3-blade prop with "NI-BRAL CUP" stamped on it, and 9 94, which i assume means the manufacture date. These boats had a bit more "V" to the hull and even with the torque of the 454, the hole shot isn't so great when I add 500-1000 lbs ballast for wakeboarding. I only use it for wakeboarding and cruising, and don't care about going 50 mph, so I thought i'd gear down a bit. I see SkiDim has a 13x15.5 4-blade acme on closeout, which would definatly gear down some. What do you guys think? Also another question.. Is the gear ratio 1.46:1 on all the older nautique v-drives? Thanks, Rob |
