Hmm...seems this boat was "SHRINK RAPED". I'd stay away from it.

Seriously, reading that ad was almost as painful as the trans rebuild thread. There is too much in that ad that does not add up:
Boat is fine but the trailer is shot?
Always in fresh water in NJ?
Seller skied for CC and then for MC?
230 hours and the driver seat needs to be redone?
Seller uses all caps and can’t spell for sh*t
I’m no expert, but “around” a 5 year warranty on the engine? If I had to swap out a motor I would remember when AND have the paperwork...

I smell scam or BS, but that is just me.
For every complex problem, there is a solution that is simple, neat, and wrong.

Oh, come on....don't you know it was molested by a Psychiatrist? That's probably why the seat is worn!   Though it's in NJ, it's far north of me or I'd offer to look at it.

Tull,
You know what they say if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is not true. Where was that back seat stored. For never being in the boat it is in rough shape from the looks of the pics.

Steve, the guy seems to be updating his ad periodically. The second body of the listing is a copy/paste from an email he sent me last week. I bet he put the same pictures that he sent you in the ad as well.

I have (9) photos that he sent me. I think the boat was stored in the La Brea Tar Pits. I don't know how a sweet boat like that can get so neglected. Poor thing.
I always find it better to clean the boat before I shrink rape her.
Someone nearby should check her out, test drive her.
Hell, in the morning I look like crap. But after a shower, Presto!... ok maybe the boat can be cleaned up.

Should be the other way around. Craig's list prcie should be $8900, CCF price should be $6500. You think the guy would have seen your post on it Steve. By the way you ever go to Grand Rapids to take a look at the other BFN.

No, I did not go to G-rap (it's actually in Kzoo). I was afraid I would do something stupid, like ending up with two BFN's when I don't have a pole barn yet to store them in. (but it's still not out of the question). I got good feedback on the Kzoo boat, and it looks like a boat for someone who is good at resto work. And that someone is not me.
