I'm sorry Mr. Spurling, your life long punishment will be two hot chicks, one who serves you beer all day, a GNX with 161 miles and a 2007 black and silver Ski Nautique. Plus, these super hot chicks will support you financially.

Very nice car, Hollywood. Bet you miss it. Did it have the 3.8 turbo? In any case, it looks fast.

The video from Hollywood's link titled something like "GNX - American muscle car" is facinating. Good to know some of those GN facts I spouted off (which I probably haven't even thought of in 10 years) are actually true. I highly recommend watching the video- it's nearly 20 minutes long.
Here is the link- watch and learn Awesome video |

Yes I miss it, it's OK though cause I know I'll get another some day. It had the 3.8 Turbo, no intercooler though, which started in '86. Burgandy split bench interior and open rear end also motivated the sale. I've got a laundry list of cars I will be collecting over the years, non of which can't be had for under $10k. My dream is to have all my sons driving 80's G-bodies. |

I question why Correct Craft didn't manufacture more than one Special Edition, 5.4 Super Charged Ford Lightning boats in 2000. Like Buick, CC has an opportunity to product limited run boats with special modifications. CC would sell ever one of speically made boats, say with the 5.4 super charged engine or stroker engine. The selling feature would be a ski boat with ultra high performance. Just my opinion.

Probably because CC doesnt actually do any of the motor work- they source them all from PCM. Theres probably not much $$ in it for PCM to produce a HO motor. The ZR6 already has a pretty hefty pricetag, and Im sure a lower volume motor would be even more expensive. |

Hello Tom from England,
I don't think these cars are really known for their sharp handling, like a Porsche. These cars are really known for straight ahead acceleration. I've never seen a GNX slalom through cones during a test. In America, it's easier to take somebody off the line versus a race involving corners. Ken |

I see your point, Tim. At some point, 375 HP in a Nautique won't cut it. We seem to always thirst for more power, acceleration and top end. I'm not a fan of adding more weight to the boat to gain extra HP. The python seems like a beast. CC and PCM have an opportunity to team up and build a lighter engine that produces more HP and torque. Maybe supercharging the engine is the answer? It would be nice to have one more engine option...not that I will benefit from it anytime soon.

This engine would work nicely for a limited production Nautique:
Ford GT 500 engine @500 HP. |

The problem is the added cost of developing marinized parts for different engines. Cost and reliability are likely major concerns for PCM. The good thing is that the Chevy 350 and Ford 351w are strong motors that can make a lot of power with aftermarket parts- which are readily available and relatively inexpensive.
The ZR6 is based on the Chevy Vortec 6.0L. It has aluminum heads and weighs slightly less than the Excalibur 330. It performs pretty well on the smaller boats like the 196, though I would think the bigger V-drives could use a big block option. |

Jbear, gotta love another twisted soul!
I have a deep appreciation for Buicks, it was Johnny's Buick that shuttled several Hotties in GL05 not to mention getting Brownie and I home from the bar as well. It was my Dad's 77' Regal, brand new, that my 16yr old sister drove around the block several times while she and her friends screamed out the window, unable to stop, or at least in her mind, from the throttle stuck by the floor mats while she rode the brake to no avail, meanwhile Brownie and I at 12-13yrs old yelled "turn off the key" from the sidewalk at each pa$$ing while inhaling ma$$ive amounts of brake dust, all this cured by Sis turning up the drivway and shifting that Buick into Park to stop, OUCH! Mojo, my Dad had a 4 door standard issue versions of the Can-Am, IRC it was a LeMans, we refered to it as the backwards going topedo. And finally my first car accident was in a Buick GS, we were rear ended by a chick in an Impala, she never hit the brakes before hitting us, we slammed into the car in front we were waiting on which hit the car it was waiting on for a left turn, had to exit the car Bo and Luke style because the doors would not open all while picking gla$$ out of our lids. Who says Buicks are Old Man cars? |

In 1993, I sold my Nissan Maxima for a 1991 Toyota Supra Turbo, targa top. It was bright red with gray leather interior. It was showroom condition with 12K miles on it. I modified with with a turbo boost controller giving me 12 pounds of boost. HKS intake and exhaust. Installed an Alpine CD player, EQ, 1,200 watt cla$$ A amp mono into a 12" JBL sub. 200 watt amp for front and back speakers. What a ride that car was. Once that turbo spooled up to 12, I was pushed back into the seat. Put about 30K miles on it and sold it for a new Nissan Pathfinder.
