Barr68, I just wanted you to know that the Jetson light on E bay is not the removable type but rather the retractable that pushes down below the deck. With the gas tank in the way you need the removable. The Jetson light I got on Ebay a couple months ago was the retractable as well. I ended up converting it with a male and female connector in the base and the bottom of the pole. It wasn't that bad but did need the machining of a bracket and a bushing. The base already has holes in it for the bracket when it came as the removable type. I started with a 2 pole connector from West marine. Good luck getting it. Post your results as well as if you need any details / help on a conversion if you get it.

barr68, Did you get the stern light yet? I was just wondering if it will push down into the deck and clear the gas tank. I know I initially stated that it wouldn't but I'm going on knowledge of a friends 70 Barracuda.

Our '65 has a retractable one and it misses the tank and the seat by an inch or so each.

Just to update the post, I received the jetson stern light and it matched up perfectly with the non retractable base that was on the boat(1968 Barracuda). it appears that this base was stock ,as the shape and style are identical to the jetson stern light.Chances are, Correct Craft installed what ever was on the shelf when the boat came down the line, which would explain why some were retractable and some not.
