1988 2001 with rebuilt 454. 6 hrs on motor 1071 on boat. Seats are good. Floor seems solid. Gunnel pads and carpet are worn. $6,800. 3rd summer I've seen it for sale. I have more pics and the phone # if anyone is interested I can post them when I'm home |

I'm sure at least a few people will get erected over a 2001 with a 454!

Haha Dave, that was an i-phone auto correct blunder. Someone at Apple has a sense of humor. Fixed it. Here are the pics. This is for sale a mile from my camp. First time I saw it for sale it was in the owner's driveway on Square Pond. It is now sitting at Booney's on Rt 11 in Shapleigh, ME. |

For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

Well with the floor that bad, you have to wonder about the stringers. And the old "Don't worry, I have every part you need" makes me wonder as well. The trailer looks a bit small/short as well.
The guy wins the prize for most keywords used though! |

That's not a bad price but does it really have only 1300 hrs?? Looks like it has the crappy gauges so the hours presently on the gauge could be suspect. Not sure if the first Gen Excal will store hours or not, if so could be verified that way and also possibly via the perfect pass also.

Link was bad. I fixed it. It is definitely what we would like to upgrade to eventually. Plan to upgrade after we buy and pay off a 2015 Mustang convertible, so it will be a few years before we do so. |

The ad states 1300. Are those the problematic digital gauges I've read about? |

That's my lake, Brantley. If its the guy I am thinking of, 1300 hours seems high, as I rarely see him out on it, although he was this past Sunday, perhaps a prospective test drive? He lives in some big shack, with an Ultra light seaplane in the back yard!! |

I'm pretty sure that only 2000s were impacted by the problematic digital gauges.

Nope, the digital teleflex gauges were used 2000-2002. |

What does the engine sticker say that makes it "Bull", I can't make anything out other then it's orange. Definitely a first Gen Excalibur 330hp.
Problematic gauges 00-02, there is something about the trim ring that may provide a clue whether they have been replaced, silver was original and black were replacement??, something like that?? I know BKH for one has that answer. Jerry, you need to get over there and get some better pics and do a survey!! |

BIMP. Dave Bull's inboard marine power.
He's probably the largest CC/Nautique none factory mechanics (& mobile) in the area. Decent mechanic. He has a box truck with a cow moo-ing for a back up alarm and that's the tip of his personality . One of those persons you meet once and you'll never forget. I've had to call on his help in the past. |

That makes more sense, I didn't know what you were talking about either. Usually ".....Bull......" means something else!

Lol, Bull is indeed a character! He has a '68 Camaro convertible that used to have a 454 from a Barefoot Nautique. It's burning methanol these days and runs high 8's. Drives it on the street all the time.

If Bert was still down there that thing would already be hooked up to his truck, lol.
If it was near me I would have been on it for a look and with 15k cash in my pocket |
