Real nice '81

Saw this boat on the St. John's river last summer, it is definitely as clean as it looks in the ad. A real head-turner for sure.

Seems like a good price depending on what might be needed:

Im surprised Tim didn't have anything to say about this one. I figured he would have already inquired about it.

The boat looks pretty rough, but the price isnt too bad. Personally, I dont have a need for a 2001, but I do like the looks of the '87-88's... and the 454 is pretty cool, of course.

It is just down the road from me, if someone were interested.

That photo brought back good memories of mine. Had it 11 years 96-07 and I would like to think I kept it in as good a shape as the one above. These are a few of the photos from my for sale ads. Bought it for $10,500(from Adirondack Marine) and sold it for $7,400. It sure didnt owe me anything.

I agree except for the seat mods. They must be the 2% he's talking about that don't fit into his "restoration".

@1989SN2001

I talked to the gentleman this morning, if he still has it tomorrow I am going up and take a look at it. A little high for a boat that hasnt run in 4 years and he talked like he would not come down but we will see. This boat was for sale about a month ago by someone different for around $3500, it was taken in on a trade for some equipment. Also does anyone recognize the tower and is it worth selling?
Thanks,

Jeff

no. sellers do not get back to me.
Also, my health insurance went up so I raised my ded. way up and now need surgery. My deductible will buy a boat. At least I am trying to make it without burdening the tax payers by paying these high premiums. And analysts wonder why consumer spending is down.

If this is happening consistently, perhaps you need to reevaluate your approach.

That's difficult to say without more intel. Does it run, can it be put in the water to drive it? At a minimum you're gonna need belts, hoses, plug wires, tune up. Maybe the carb cleaned, etc.

Conventional wisdom on this board will tell you that stringers will need to be replaced at some point, since it's wio in a 92.

Is the boat close?

Add says last time he had it out it ran but I doubt it would from sitting for 6 years it's close same town I live in. What year did they stop putting wood stringers in ?

The guy in Dallas/Fort Worth is asking $13,000 for that nice 93 Sport.
Someone needs to grab that boat.
