OK, so the first time with the boat in the water and I hit some rocks/dirt at the ramp. It currled the top 1/2" to 1" (hard to tell) on all three fins of the prop. I don't think it can be repaired so now I am trying to figure out he right prop for the boat. It is a 1986 2001 ski Nautique. I am just getting my kids into the ski/wakeboarding. Oh ya the guy I got the boat from said it was a reverse pitch prop. So where do I go from here.... any suggestions? I also read online here to check the shaft for bending.. Would it be obvious or is there some tool...

Take the prop to a prop shop and get a idea on repair costs before you buy a new one. You would be surprised what a good prop shop can do and DO NOT listen to the guy at your local marina. All he wants is to self you a new prop.
There isn't a prop with a "reverse pitch". They are ether right or left handed. |

I banged mine up pretty bad too and just got it back from Delta Propeller ~$100 shipped.
Took two wks but looks perfect. Actually looks better than that considering they're $350-$400 new. Like I found $300 in an old pair of pants! |
