Ralph,
Pin punches are sized to be slightly smaller than the pin you are removing. If you use too small a punch, you can "mushroom" the pin end and locking it in the hole. Did you use the proper size? My suggestion now is to remove the pylon and get it into an arbor press to see if the pin will come out. You may have to resort to drilling it out but that can be tricky since the pin is hard. A carbide drill in a drill press would be needed. |
