Well things have been busy, but we've added a few more boats

We added both of these two to the collection; The first one was a mess, full of water, everything rotted like I couldn't believe. Even had a Jasper rebuild in it from '76 I believe the tag said. The hull and hardware in great shape though - no I didn't pay that amount. This one probably won't get done until next year.

Had some engine issues, but overall a good boat. Finally started digging into it. The dash on this was cut up pretty badly as well as the gel, but is getting redone and will be in the water this year.

Pics to follow - Need to get them off my phone first.

I wish I could call it my shop, but a good friends shop that runs a boat storage business in Mendon, MI.

Just my second, but always on the look out. The others are just friends boats that live on the lake. The cuda is a 71'. The list keeps growing; I really want an orange Mustang next.

I've guess you've been bitten by the bug! Have you've gotten all of these since the emerald Skylark? Nice H/M Cuda! What year, 69?

Sorry I haven't been as active, as I should be. Been really busy with life in general. Here is a few pictures of the boats we've added/or sent to the grave yard. I still need to finish mine a 100% - I just bought a 66' Skylark. I will probably just run it this year, then redo it in the winter.

I had a blast. The amount of no treaspassing signs was amazing. Felt like I was driving into some crazy military compound. Sad that the marina went with the times. With that said, I drove down a bunch of camp roads. Talked to a couple of people. Walked Maggie at the town Forrest until we came across bear traxs. Maggie tucked her tail, and she pulled and we husseled back to the CRV. Got back to Mousam, started packing up, and hung out with a neighbor.   A great weekend!!!

Well I didn't find it. Found the sail boat, pile of old tires, and metal shipping containers, etc. looks like a logging co. Went through a year ago maybe. Peter that's the marina. Didn't see anything older than 15 yrs old.

Peter, directions would be great. I did go looking 10 or so years ago. I found a place that I thought might be the place. But those sheds were gone. Was really cool seeing that line of Mustangs and barracudas. I didn't even know there was a barracuda model. It was pre internet. The good old Want Ads days.

I'm not familiar with that area at all, so I've never seen it. That red Mustang would be worth grabbing for the steering wheel.

I'm not interested. More curious. Bruce and Peter, have either of you two seen this boat over there? these pics were taken in 1988-1990. My brother and I went up there just looking around and found this Mustang and a bunch of other CCs in a row. There were a couple of these storage buildings and they were up on a hill on the left when you drove down to a marina on Ossipee. Would be nice to find that marina again.

So CC hunting and a NH state liquor store run. Sounds like my Saturday is getting booked up. Bruce pm or e-mail me some detailed directions. Barring anything popping up I should be able to run over there. I love that section of Rt 153 between N. Conway and Wakefield.

John, it's in Ossipee, NH, off of Route 153 a little north of Route 25.

Bruce would happen to be over in my neck of the woods? I'm closing the camp up this weekend and I can take a drive. Y in the road and main entrance sounds like a little trespassing, but with my reserve plate and yellow lab I'm viewed as a lost MassH@#$le.

I'll take a ride over there the next time I'm working out that way and see if it's still there.

This what it looked like the last time I saw it.

Peter, you had pointed me to the Skylark and that tan Mustang. You had told me the boat was owned by Eddie who was the care taker. I went over there and found the boat as it was in the first picture. I then found Eddie and he wanted $600 for it. I told him that all the hardware was stripped off of it and that was too much money. He told me that none of the hardware was stripped off of it and he wouldn't take less. That ended the discussion. I later worked out a deal with the owner of the camp for the tan Mustang and he offered the Skylark to me for free if I would just take it. I told him that Eddie offered to sell it to me which surprised him as he said it was the camp's boat and not Eddie's to sell. Eddie should have come down to about $200 and he would have made the sale.

They moved it to another spot where they put junk. You bear right at the fork, (I think the main entrance) and before some fields there's a dirt road on the right that goes into the woods. It was down there 50 yards with some old sail boats and other junk.

Peter, the last time I saw it, it was upside and had been dragged into the woods. I believe the engine was still in it. The owner told me I could take it for free when I picked the pink Mustang up. I would have needed a flat bed to take it and help from the care taker with his back hoe. It may still be available.
