All,

Please help, my oil pressure gauge in my 1988 nautique bounces all over the place. I put a spare gauge I had from my 85 nautique in it and it does the same thing. I know when that gauge was in my 85 it did not bounce? Sending unit? can that be the cause? Bad ground wire?

Thanks for any help...

re: bad ground,

turn on your dash lights and if that gauges light flickers with the bounce i would think that would be it. how bout a bad seending unit wire? does sound like a connection item.

good luck

you can test the sender by connecting your extra guage directly to the sending unit. If it still bounces, replace the sender, otherwise it is likely the wiring.
