So my 81 351 buzzer started going off all the time where it use to turn off once the engine started. What sensors does this engine have that would turn the buzzer on? Started buzzing after replacing fuel pump and rebuilt carb. Not sure where to check.

Oil pressure switch and sensor are on a T fitting next to oil filter.
(Checked terminals seem fine) what should they test at if good?

Oil pressure is showing around 60 on the dash when cold dropped down a bit when it warmed up before. Haven’t run it long enough to warm up since the buzzer stayed on

oil level good

Water pumping out the exhaust

What should I look for?

Thanks

In 81 CC didn't have a warning system like that, maybe it was added, maybe it's a later engine.

Since you mention an oil pressure switch which is really close to where you were working to put the new fuel pump on, I'd check that switch.

With a multimeter, the switch should be closed when the engine is Off .and when the oil pressure is above about 5 psi when the engine id running, it'll be open

With the switch closed, when the key is turned to the Run position the alarm sounds because there's no oil pressure, then when you start the engine and pressure comes up, the switch opens and the horn stops making noise.

There's probably also a water temperature switch that's open whenever it's below 200 ish degrees.

Here's a link to a thread with some troubleshooting info  on what CC used in the 90's, your setup may be similar

The jumper that goes from the water temp to the oil switch came loose and that was causing the alarm 👍 we are runnin smooth now!
