Hello all.
I recently upgraded from an 83 2001 nautique to a 95 nautique with a GT40. Is there any common known reasons why it is hard starting when warm and sitting for a while. Say 30 minutes. Starts extremely well when it's cold. Thank you

Most likely leaky injectors, might need professional cleaning or replacement. 24 lb Ford motorsports injectors are around 250 for 8

There's usually not a quick and easy solution to the hard start when warm issue with the gt40.

If you click on the link below, you'll find a bunch of threads over the years about this issue, usually involving lots of time, effort and a fair amount of parts swapping.

Sometimes you get lucky early on, sometimes you don't

Many different causes and fixes,, but don't get too scared, read through the threads and ask questions here.Wink

If you don't have one, get a fuel pressure gauge with the right adapter for a fuel injected Ford

It'll be handy to check for leaky injectors. poor fuel pressure etc.

Your 95 doesn't have a fuel control cell, unless someone added it later It was added in 96 by PCM.

You still have a low pressure fuel pump and a high pressure fuel pump, so keep that in mind while reading.
