the starboard side of the engine seems to have more valve train noise then the port side.
I ran some compression numbers this weekend on a cold engine.
Starboard side tested out between 115 and 125, and the port side was between 125-130.
when the engine is running i realized that most of my engine valvetrain noise is coming from the starboard side.

i was thinking of adjusting my valves? what type of lifters does the Commander have?

Your compression numbers are OK.

Your engine has hydraulic lifters and Ford's non adjustable valvetrain, so you don't do the typical Chevy type of adjustment that you might be thinking of.

What did you find in the other thread where you were bumping the engine over to check for valvetrain slop?

I have no idea what I am doing!!!
I am just trying to figure things out via YouTube and forums.
I was hoping for something loose or obvious?
I rotated crank 1/4 turn at a time for 3-4 revolutions, checked every pushrod for play and friction by twisting and moving around
The engine has not been run in about two weeks.

Nonadjustable valvetrain?
Any information is appreciated
What should my next step be?
Buddy told me to pull valve cover and put up some spray guard for oil and run engine with valve cover off and listen and look for issues?
