Does anyone have a gas cap for an SN2001, 1987? the housing is stuck, so I'd rather try getting a cap before doing surgery. Thanks!

Jon, I hope this isn't bad news, but you probably never will find a cap only that will fit your fuel fill. You will be better off buying the whole fitting.  Almost any marine parts store will have them.  Jcust make sure that you get one with the proper diameter extension that attaches to the tank.
We think that the casting vendors must throw away the master mold after every batch is cast and start over for the next batch.
