The previous homeowner included his 1983 Ski Nautique in the deal. The boats in pretty good shape but he warned them it had some carb issues. We went for a ride in it tonight and the steering wheel kept getting locked to the right. Sometimes just slightly turned, sometimes in a full turn. I did a little searching here on the site and found a few potential causes, broken gear teeth in the gear box or possibly a bad cable. Any thoughts? Should they just replace the gear box and cable for safety purposes?
