There are 2 different trim rings- and they each use their own cap style. They look the same at a glance but are not interchangeable.

To keep your existing plastic cap, you need another plastic ring. If you get a metal ring, then you’d need the foam/rubber cap style. The cap decals are available if you need them.

Ye I broke down and replaced my steering wheel. The "original" leather was too stiff and slick. Shocked

Greg is that 7 hole trim ring plastic or aluminum ?  If it's plastic I wonder if a 3D printer could make one. Just need a 3D scanner and a printer. 2K later and you'd be all set Wink . Our library has a printer wonder if any are getting scanners yet

Heck if that was the case why not just print out a new boat like they did at the University of Maine

This trim ring is aluminum which is a nice upgrade from the plastic version.
