I'll snap some photo's this weekend when we go out in downtown Sacramento for her 40th birthday party....... she should be good and liquored up and won't be so uptight about photo's.

I got some good one's of her dirty dancing with one of her girlfriends last weekend after 2 bottles of champaign and shot's of tequila, but she got hold of the camera the next day and deleted them all ( due to nudity ).

He's been asking about starting. Wish I had a boom for him. I hate to ask him to learn the way I did. I still don't think my head is quite right, and that was 34 years ago.

Funny thing though...it seems like about 2 summers ago that my buddy TJ and I taught ourselves by steppin' off. (see slide show below) Some cold crappy day this winter, I'll tell you some stories about "Pops", the 800 year old sheriff on our lake that summer that found some reason to pull us over every time we went out.

So far with the response that I have gotten , these are what the totals are .

average age of a ccf - owner is 35 people at 38 1/2 years old
from the boats that were listed I have 34 at 27 years old
fromthe kids that are listed I have 19 at 12 years old
Then we have numerous SMOKIN HOT BABES that help us and put up with our crap that it realy doesnt matter what there age is. Because we love them no matter what.

Thanks keep em comin

How did I miss this awesome thread?

Anyhow: jbear=55 Like most of us here...act way younger.
Mrs jbear=56 but way awesome, even better than when I married her. I still think she's hot and she drives better than almost any guy, can back a trailer and load the '80 on the first try on a crowded ramp with rain clouds coming.

PS: Dan, I can remember when you were a kid. You are how old??? Did you guys get to TN? Son footin'? I can teach him.
PSS: Liked the Father/Son footin' pics. Still make my son go with me for pics each summer.

john

Boat=26 I've had newer ones but never again...old is best!

Boat Dr.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

We love our kids. Wouldn't trade our twins or our 4 year old for anything but I often tell people that I also wouldn't wish twins on anyone.

The first year was tough....things are beginning to get easier.

That is correct:

1 boy 4 years old. He was recently up on the knee board alone off the boom with help....the look on his face was priceless.

Twin boys 2 years old and tubing at idle speed with mom this summer.

They all love the water! I hope it is something that sticks with them as they grow as it has for me.

My sister calls that "Lake Effect" When we were kids we spent all summer on the lake with our 66 Mustang (and two woodies before that)

Since then, after the family camp was sold, my brother had a camp on the same lake, sold it, now lives on water in NC. My sister has lived on a lake since shortly after married. I have always lived in proximity to water and now have a vacation/retirement place on a lake. All three of us have boats and all of our kids (and now my sister's grandkids) are active participants in skiing/boating.

A busy time for us and we've had to give up our lakeside plot of heaven at DeepCreek Lake, MD . But my wife's a good sport about the boat. Lets me tinker on the weekends & ski with a bunch of other overgrown children one night a week, no questions asked. Will have to do for now!

JHardji,
My uncle has had a place on Deep Creek Lake for about 15 yrs. As kids, we'd ususally travel down at least once year. Sorry to hear you gave up your plot - only temporary I hope.

Boat Dr.

I am hoping that rehersal dinners are all that is to come.....wife still mentions a girl now and then.

Scarry thing as I have heard that once you have twins the odds / opportunity for future births to be twins goes up.

Have a great weekend everyone....

Me- 34
Wife- 33
Daughter- 10,
Twin boys- 7.

My kids were all born on same day, July 23!

79-Mustang, I couldn't agree with you more I love my boys, great kids, but I wouldn't wish twins on anyone! It was just insane when they were babies!
Humans were only ment to have one baby at a time, anything more is just unnatural.

Eric - I live in the Akron\Canton area and Work in Macedonia, right down the road from Twinsburgh! I have heard of the festival but we have never gone. It is on our list of things to do.

Just bought my first boat today! '93 Sport Nautique.

We were talking about that festival the other day. The girls didn't really seem too interested however. I think right now all they are interested in is getting cell phones. To which I say, ah, no.
I can't see how my wife managed with the twins in the early years (I'm their step-dad). I didn't come into the picture until three years ago. Their lovely father decided he would rather have two girl friends than a wife and kids and hauled a$$ when the twins were less than a year old. My wife managed to finish college with a degree in accounting and get her CPA while raising the kids. WOW. Anyway, the girls just turned 12 and they love the water. During the summer they swam pretty much all day, everyday. The nieghbor said, "I've never seen anything like it!" I keep wanted them to ski doubles, like a Double Mint Gum commerical but they haven't bought into that yet.

Jimbo,
Double ski twin girls! Great idea. Both mine could do it...I just need to buy a toe strap for the other ski so they could both slalom.

Man, your wife is amazing! Kudos to her. She must be quite a woman.

I can't do the cell phone thing for them either. Geez, I hate it when their friends come home with them.

After an aggressive and sophisicated statistical analysis, it appears that there is no trend with respect to young vs old owner and new vs old boat.

The data would appear to represent a pretty random distribution.

Nice job 75. Thanks for the help .I am pretty sure that I wouldnt be able to come up with an aggresive and sophisticated statistical analysis as you have.

Thanks again Pat

The Dude, saw this on my E mail and thought of you : ONLY A TEXAS MAN CAN MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A WOMAN

On a transatlantic flight, a plane pa$$ed through a severe storm. The turbulence was awful,
and things went from bad to worse when one wing was struck by lightning.

One woman in particular lost it. Screaming, she stood up in the front of the plane. "I'm too
young to die," she wailed. Then she yelled, "Well, if I'm going to die, I want my last minutes
on earth to be memorable! Is there anyone on this plane who can make me feel like a WOMAN?"

For a moment, there was silence. Everyone had forgotten his or her own peril. Eyes riveted,
they all stared at the desperate woman at the front of the plane.

Then a man from Texas stood up in the rear of the plane. He was handsome, tall, well built,
with dark brown ! hair an d hazel eyes. Slowly, he started to walk up the aisle, unbuttoning
his shirt, one button at a time. No one moved. He removed his shirt. Muscles rippled across
his chest. She gasped.

He looked into her eyes and said, "Iron this -- and then get me a beer

If it makes you feel any better, jbear, at age 55 was the most elderly responder. However, the combined age of you and your boat puts you way out in front.

Just to further bore you all to tears and glaze your eyes over with my graph again, I have combined my minimal and long forgotten freshman statistics knowledge with my minimal and long forgotten freshman psychology knowledge and have come up with a possible description of the data. Whereas I said before I saw no trends, I have reconsidered, upon further evaluation. Look at the red line. As youthful owners (20 to 40) get established in their careers, they tend to buy newer and newer boats (boat age goes down as their age goes up) as they can afford them and as they feel the need to keep up with the Jones's. Now once we're over 40, we no longer have those needs, we have proven ourselves. We also feel the onslaught of age and get nostolgic about our youth. Therefore (look at the blue line) as we get older, so to do our boats as we try to recreate our younger days by going out and buying the older boats. OK, I'll leave you alone now, I promise.
