WTF?................. John, where do I dare start. I'm speechless and I believe you gave me grief for honoring my Scottish heritage a while back. This is right up there with Kristof's tub picture. In fact I think this tops it!

Well that's what happens when you go Stylin' without
doing a little Profilin'

So, how long did it take you and your bro to discover your dates could have used a little package tape ?

Best part off that famous family picture is the fact that we both have dark hair.....unlike today! Gotta love the eyewear as well!

Not sure where Bill's suit came from but the brown number I am wearing actually belonged to Patti...and believe me she looked way better in it than I did.

You had to be at one of the West Shore Water Ski Club's 'Annual Dances' to believe them.

always used to take a table of guys from the garage to the dance. They never wanted to miss the floor show. A guy named Jack Zellers used to plan the show..never knew what he had up his sleeve. Was the one time of year that people who knew me and Bill would get to see us 'let our hair down' so to speak.

PS....decision time yet?

Trust me when I say that I am not one to make a fool out of myself, but it takes a big guy to allow himself to be laughed at by others. The West Water Ski Club annual dances were the high light of the year back in the day and the "entertainment" portion of the night was the reason many people came year after year. This was our largest fund raiser of the year and we traditionally had turnouts of 400-500 people. As John stated he sold many tickets to his co-workers at Ohio Bell/Ameritech/whatever as did I to my co-workers at Ford. Just another one of those things that are gone and never to return.
While the guy portion of the "entertainment" was strictly for laughs the ladies worked many long hours to perfect their routines and actually put on some pretty impressive dance routines. As John said we had one member [Jacque Zellers...since gone to the great calm lake in the sky] who dreamed up and put all our routines together. We had as much fun practicing and putting the thing together as people had viewing it.

Yikes...thank goodness HW is due to arrive later this evening. I gotta get him to teach me to scan...in self-defense.

Actually Bill has more pictures from this era than you can imagine. I have alot too...difference is Bill's are all in picture books..which we all look at time after time..and mine are all in boxes. Maybe we'll share more if the interest is there as time goes on.

yeah CQ..Bill went from hardly ever being on his computer to this. The new computer has really created a picture monster! BUt I just cannot express how much fun this era was. And to be able to share it with your 'hero' and his family..plus our ski club family....well there just ain't words. We'll have to let our pictures do the talking.

Chris: Glad to provide a little entertainment, but I might have to back off a little until I see what John comes up with now that he has called in the high technology help. [Hollywood] I have a vast supply of material to chose from and all legit'....no photo-shopping allowed!!
Sad to admit but I was still using my "free" computer given to all Ford employees back around '97 or '98 with the ever popular Windows 98 operating system! Talk about "keep it original"!

Full disclosure: Yes that is my tube. Given as Christmas gift to my kids by John and Patti when they were 4 and 6. Put up in the attic where it remained for 20+ years. My kids were not allowed to tube!! Recently pulled out this old/new tube and put into service because grandkids are a whole different set of rules!!

Did you ever call on the Brookpark Casting Plant in your travels?? Gone....totally freaking Gone when I went by this morning although they will be hauling scrap off the site for months to come! Back in the day we had 10 molding lines working 27 out of a possible 30 shifts....9000+ people in that building alone!! Sad...very sad.

Ah yes...cruising Brookpark Road, did that more than a few times!! Tuesday was bowling day and we were backed by a bar on Brookpark named the GiGi Lounge. Obviously had to patronize them and then proceed to work our way west on Brookpark. Worked nights...bowled in the am...rule was "if not home and in bed by 7:30 don't bother to wake me for work". Miss those days but probably couldn't handle it anymore!
Here's one from the Brookpark road days.
