i want to tackle the removal of the stripes (they look like decals, because of a few bubbles, but i can't imagine that a 15 inch width of decal could go on so nicely arond the boat) and in the process of checking it out, i found some cracks in the gelcoat. we plan on doing a one color job on the hull, so is there an epoxy or something similar that i could "patch" up the cracks with? i'm not really in the market to do a $1000 gel recoat on the boat, so any tips would be appreciated!
thanks!

If you are going to paint the hull, then simply grind out the cracks down to the fiberglass and then fill/smooth with Bondo to the original surface and shape of the hull.
