Hi guys. I just reconnected my raw water strainer on my 1997 GT-40 after sitting for the winter and, upon closing the engine cover, noticed that it rubs on the inside of the cover. It actually ends up getting crunched pretty good with a very noticable bump when closing the cover. The two hoses leading to and from the strainer have some flex in them, but this wasn't happening when I finished up last season. I'm concerned that, with the vibration/movement of the engine, it may cause problems with the strainer. There really is a lot of pressure on it now. I took the boat to my local dealer to have it winterized last November. Has anybody experience this? Or, what are my options? Advice appreciated. Thanks

Ryan
