Hi all,
I have a GT-40 that is losing the battery charge after sitting a week plus. When checking the electrical system with everything off, I am seeing a draw on the battery of about .3 to .4 volts. I have checked grounds, disconnected starter and alternator and one by one disconnected wires at the dash to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. |

Do you have a stereo? It needs current to save your settings.

Yeah, but I never use it and the faceplace is always off. I know that it could still be wired but with a viable battery, should it drain down that much so that the boat doesn't start? If that's the culprit, I'll have to change the wiring

The radio should not drain the battery in a week. Have you checked your battery? The best way I've found to find a drain is to work at night disconnecting one wire at a time and looking for a tiny spark (may be very hard to see in the day light). But it sounds like you have already tried that. Maybe you just need a new battery.
