I have a 2005 SV211 and it seems the floor access panel isn't a very good design. It has about six screws that screw through holes in the panel directly into the floor. Over time those holes hollow out and it is no longer securely attached. Right now, only one of the screws bites into the fiberglass underneath.
Has anyone come up with a better design? Some type of pin maybe? There are so many moving parts underneath there that it drives me crazy that CC would decide that a solution is screwing into fiberglass. This seems like a "permanent" fix rather than a fix one would routinely get into (like the engine hatch).   |

Thats too easy! I actually didn't think of that. Was hoping for something more exotic!
What type of epoxy would be best for this? I've not worked with it before but am not afraid of youtube! |

How certain are you that it was screwed down originally? The DD’s from that era that I’ve disassembled didn’t secure the rear removable floor panel down at all- just friction and gravity.

Good question, I assume it was OE because they're stainless steel screws and seem to match the others of the type in the boat. I'll look closer and maybe it isn't a big deal, the panel is pretty heavy and tough to hoist up.

His a a Vdrive though- the panel is about 2 1/2 times the length of a DD. My 95 is screwed down as well I'd bet they both are oem
