Hey Guys,

I replaced my Valve Stem Seals and now I have to adjust the Valves. Are there hydraulic lifters in my 1979 GM350, because of the Preload? I'm new to this old American V8, just know some about German Cars and Engines :D

Yes your lifters are hydraulic... post a picture of your heads and we can probably figure out if what you should do to adjust them (if you need to at all).

Adjust down to zero lash on tdc on compression stroke, then adjust preload to another one half to three qaurter a turn. Repeat with other 7 cylinders.
