1995 Nautique Super sport with the v drive. Ford motor 300 hours. Took the boat out the other day. Idling along great and it just shut off like you turned the key off. Has no spark, checked the red circuit breakers, checked the lanyard(acts like there is no lanyard attached). Just cranks, no start. Has been absolutely fine up until this. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve, welcome to the site.

What exact motor do you have? I assume if it's a Ford it a 351, but... Fuel injected or Carbed? Horsepower? Protec? GT-40?

The ignition systems differ depending on these variables.

fuel injected gt-40. Like I said no miss, hesitation, just shut off. Acted like you pulled the kill switch.

Thanks,
Steve

Luckily, we now have the GT-40 Engine Manual in the reference section.

Unluckily, it's 300 pages long.

But, it does seem to have a really good diagnosis section. Hopefully you're able to find something in there.
