I'm gonna put a depth sounder (pretty sure it will be the Uniden QT-206 - absolute neccesity here in Brunei) in our '82 Ski Tique. Question is - what kind of transducer? The boat is completely pulled apart undergoing restoration with the entire under floor about to be replaced. Would a thru-hull be best in these circumstances or a transiom mount? I have absolutely no idea which is ideal.
Thanks, Shaughn. |

Shaughn, I'd suggest a thru-hull transducer. No holes to drill and they work great. Read if you haven't already the discussion on this topic maybe that will help you out.
