Hello All
I'd be interested in hearing what other 18' Freeport (302 powered) owners have had luck with for prop size.

My rig had a 12x14 when I bought it and that wasn't very good, I now have a 13x14 which isn't the answer either (too much prop). CC says a 12x12, but I'd like some input before I spend the bucks...

I'm more interested in low end hole-shot power then top end.

If another member has a prop in that range they would like to sell/swap please feel free to contact me.

Last note, anyone know of a source for those odd threaded-on trailer wheel bearing dust caps?

Thanks for reading, John

why dont you send the 12x14 to a prop shop and half an inch or two of pitch removed. It be a cheap solution

Good advice.
If I still had it I would...but last winter someone at CC tech said use a 13x14 so I sold it and bought what I have now.

Probably need the 12x12 or 13x13. Call ACME and discuss your needs and they will steer you to the correct prop for your boat. So you know the HP and torque of your engine...it may be helpfull to the people at ACME.

FWIW: I use a 4-blade 13x13 on my '77 Martinique with the 351W that I am guessing has about 285-300HP. My boat jumps out of the water, but I have no idea about top speed, because I have never tested top speed since I could care less and do not feel the need to push an engine so hard.
