I am thinking about painting my Torino a flat "hot rod" black. What are your guys thoughts on that? I want it to look "mean," Like a stealth or something. I know the color will be hot.. But I won't be really touching the body.. Wanting White seats. to stay cool.

I'd think about it carefully. IMO it is likely to look like the Bat Boat. BKH

If not the flat black... What color should I paint it? I am not fond of the original yellow...

Go original!!

Someone shoud have a 1970 catalog showing the available colors. They had to have offered it in another color than the pale yellow.

What color do you suggest Scott? It has to be something other than the Yellow.

Its a i/o with a 318 Chrysler. 210 hp. I will be posting some pics tonight of my progres on it. Have the floor cut out of it now, and have taken most of the hardware off of it. I would like to get the hardware re-chromed, but that is not likely. I guess I will just powercoat the hardware.

Michael,
You may or may not know, that orange is my favorite color. I'm currently restoring a boat now that is orange. I think your Torino would look great with my most favorite color on it

Michael...

Since you're new around here (welcome!!!) you may not have realized that the "Scott" that has been providing some feedback is the Torino master around here. Take a look at some of his handy work in these two threads.

If you go black, go with gloss, and it will look like the "bat boat"...
