2002 ski nautique 196. 330 Excalibur. What's the red 12-gauge wire with an inline fuse, off the pos terminal for?
had a starting issue last fall with my keypad. I found the fuse in that line was burnt/melted. replaced the inline fuse and it fixed the issue. The issue happened again this weekend. But the wire/fuse is just fine. Issue: Enter my code, hit start, the light on the keypad goes on as it should, press again (it should start), but it just clicks. And the keypad goes dead until I enter my code again.. repeat......

Have you identified the red wire's purpose? Despite the starter, do other accessories work?

I believe the red wire with in-line fuse is for the keypad.
