Folsom lake was filling up quickly also. Following Flood Protection guidelines they started Draining it fast during the storm. Afraid we will get a fast snow melt and not have protection against flooding. I hate to see it drained when we finally have water after several years of draught conditions. It is looking like a good but COLD year for our lakes. All that snow will come down. The Sierra's have 20 feet in the high elevations.
The lake I ski will be much colder, might not be comfortable for swimming till July 4th but heck we need the water.
