Well, after all the top end work, the engine is getting pulled as I discovered only half of the problem was fixed with the 78 nautique 351.
Getting bored, honed... the works,.
Thought this is a good time to upgrade distributors, but finding ones specifically labeled as rev rotation is difficult and unbelievably expensive. Am I correct in that you can just replace the gear to convert a std rotation to RH?

Performance Distributors.  They have D.U.I. (Davis Unified Ignition).  The part number for a reverse-rotation distributor for a SBF 351 is M35820RRRD (the last 2 letters "RD" means a red distributor cap).  This is an HEI style distributor, so no external coil is needed.  Not cheap.

What's in it now, points or a electronic conversion?

It's an old Prestolite with a e-kit from pertronix that is no longer in production.

If it works I wouldn't mess with it, if it doesn't, I would get a new E-kit for it.
I would not spend the money on a HEI for it that's for sure.
