I have a 73 mustang 16. I am looking for the chrome piece on the transom that keeps the ski rope from getting into the air vents. I don't know what's it's called so I am having trouble looking it up. I am trying to figure out if they are sold as an aftermarket piece, and if so what search word should I use.

Bracken,
The rope gaurds were not aftermarket but rather factory. Unless you find someone who is parting out a 70's CC, you may have a hard time finding one. The alternate is making one up yourself. CC used off the shelf railing base fittings like these: Welcome to CCfan. Tell us more about the 73 and we always love pictures. |

I'll post pictures whenever done with it. It's orange with black interior. I had to swap in a 351w because the previous owner didn't winterize the 302.
