Hi All would appreciate your input.My 2003 196 oil pressure goes to close to 500 when throttling up to 36 mph but at idle hovers around 400,any concerns here?Thx

I am with you Ken. I saw this post this morning and figured 400 BAR would be 5,801.51 PSI, So it aint BAR's Maybe 40.0 psi????

If so 500 kpa = 5 bar = 72.5 psi

A little more info would be helpful
Are you worried about 58 psi at idle or 72 psi at speed? What weight oil are you using? What engine do you have? Have you checked with a mechanical gauge? Did you just get the boat and it has these pressure readings or have you had it a while and the readings just changed?

JQ I think one of those agencies with names that have a few letters as an abbreviation will be knocking on your door real soon. Their boss might be somebody named Vladimir or something like that
