This 1977 competition ski boat has 700 hours on it and hasn't run in 7 years - it has been hanging as shown during that time. It has faded but has very little exterior damage. The floor is caving in between the front seats and it has no trailer. I would have to tow it several miles to the nearest ramp. It has a Pleasurecraft engine model #ERDWRR10. He is asking $5,000 which sounds high.  If anyone has an opinion on what its worth as is I would appreciate it.

Hi Comer With the floor falling apart that tells you that things you can't even see are even worse and indicates the structure below is gone. No trailer and it’s a 900 parts boat IMOH. For 5K with out even being able to see if it runs and drives and with no trailer- run don't walk.

Comer,
Welcome to CCfan. You found the one and only site for older CC's

Ok, if this SN does need a stringer replacement, the cost is pretty much what the asking price is. There are lots of variables such as labor and materials so this is just a warning. Then there's the engine! Was it layed up properly? Does it turn over?

You need to investigate all further.

Yes, I'd say he's high on the asking price to the tune of 4.5K!

It's easily worth a couple of grand parted out...all those hard to find parts add up. And, it's a complete boat. I'd give a grand for it if I had a trailer to tow it, a barn to keep it, and piece it out over a drink each night ;-)

But if you're looking for a boat to use and it needs gutted for a stinger project, it should be free. And we haven't even talked about the motor that has sat for that long....

Plenty of good boats at that price point, or close to it, ready to go, sitting on a trailer....

Comer,
Listen to the advice given by the prior posters..........they are spot on....the boat is WAY WAY WAY overpriced.
FYI I have a 1984 that I have been toying with for a few months and it is in pretty decent shape (boat and trailer). I  would sell it for a very reasonable price (much less than 5K) if you or someone on this site would be interested.  Send me a personal message if you would like some more info / pics.
And yes guys, if I would sell the boat CCFan would get a portion of the proceeds.

If he wants $5000 that SN it is going to hang there for a long time. $500 to a $1000 at best. Walk away.

$500 would be about right, until someone needs the parts to fix another project. Then it might be worth more.  I am not seeing the tow pylon in the picture. Is it missing?

All that being said, that is a super cool "hood" scoop on there. I wish they could be easily swapped out.
