Any ideas on where to find good prices for aluminum tubing? I want to build a couple of towers for the 76-80 nautiques that a friend and I have.

Try a metal scrap yard. They usually have aluminum in many different forms and at vary good prices.

I bought 45 foot of 1 7/8" aluminum tubing with a .125 inner wall for for $65.00. I got it from a scrap yard that sold it by the pound not the length.

Make sure you get a bendable and weldable tubing as well as a decent inner wall.

Have you built a tower yet? I'm curious about the design. Pics would be awesome.

I bought a homemade tower for $500 (US). It looks like it cost about $65 in materials, now that I've looked into. I wish I'd made it myself!

Good luck. The home made one's I've seen are pretty plain. Something like a flight control requires pretty sophisticated aluminum bending tools & skills. It's a sweet tower though!
