Bought this survivor last year , rebuilt the 4 speed, new exaust, Custom Mallory ignition, new interior, Carb rebuild, dyno tuning and a lot of small stuff. The accleration is a little better than the 206.

Man... that is a sweeeeet machine!!!
A real dream car.
- Gun control means: using BOTH hands!
- Money doesn't make one happy, but when it rains cats and dogs, it's still better to cry in a Porsche than on a bicycle...

Mike, I did some work to a 69 427 tri-power
one good thing was you get to test drive them, it had 27k miles and fell flat on its face. I was surprised, I thought i was going for the ride of my life

Tbe mistique of the Big Block is certainly part legend. I have never personally seen one fall flat but have been less than thrilled. GM produced many models with less than 220 hp and people still bought them. I have driven BMWs that would smoke this 71 in the corners and a couple that would contend in the straight. I've also done 120 in a Ford Escort, they are all fun in their own way.
