1987 Ski Nautique, I think it might be made out of teak (not sure on that).
Also looking for a flame arrestor that sits on top of the carburetor
Thanks

Thank you very much for the link, I just ordered one from Nautique parts, it should be here in 3 days, and it’s made out of maple wood.
I looked at their flame/spark arrestors, but didn’t see one that looked like the one that’s on my boat, Thanks again.
Regards
Roy

There were several used on the 351's.  The one for the 87 is no longer offered but the one in the link above is the other one that was used.  One has a place for the fuel pump overflow line to attach to and the other does not.

Thanks Scott for your helpful input. I was seeking a Barbron 573001B flame arrestor, with (as you pointed out) has the provision for the fuel pump overflow, but can’t seem to find one.
It’s the bracket that the 5/8ths fuel hose attaches to that has come off of the top round cover of the flame arrestor, I tried to JB weld it back onto the cover, but that failed, perhaps my next attempt will be to rivet it back onto the cover (lid). Thanks again

If you're gonna rivet the piece back on, I'd look for blind end pop rivets instead of the normal run of the mill pop rivets that leave an open hole in the middle.

The blind end rivets won't have that hole

Or....use a couple of small sheet metal screws

If you were to have a backfire and flame under the flame arrestor the hole would kinda defeat the purpose of having the flame arrestor and let some flame out, even if it's a small hole.

No hole.....no flame gets out.....less chance of an explosion....it's a better outcome for you Wink

The second link I sent you has the nipple for the fuel overflow hose.  You can see it in the picture.

Yes, I saw that, Thanks!, but before I spend a hundred bucks for a new one, I think I’ll try to repair the one I have.

Roy

Here's a picture of a Barbron flame arrestor with 2 small sheet metal screws holding the bracket in place.

About 99% sure it was original from Barbron that way, I've seen other Barbrons with little tack welds/braze jobs depending on what the top is made of, which might be what you have.

Sheet metal screws are probably easier than pop rivets or at least they're another choice Wink
