Green Lake Reunion Update:

In order to align the sponsors, coordinate events and dinners etc, we have to close registration at a certain time to give all envolved enough time to "do their thing"

We need to instill a deadline this year wich will close June 27th, 2008. Please register, now so we can plan accordingly..

Any questions, please feel free to ask..

Thanks

Whats the hold-up?

Good news in that I have 3 boat-towing returnees from last year in our party who haven't signed up yet: Marshall, Rodney, and Ruch. I will press them.

Mojo, give me direction on this one: Ruch (pronounced Ruck) isn't a CCF member and more than likely will never be one, and last year I just included him and his wife as guests of mine. He will however, be pulling one of our boats again and I know you'd like to have the boat counted. So how do we do this?

Reid,
Sounds like the convoy is progressing by number. Great to hear.

Regarding Ruch, I believe he'll still need to register as a member (like many of the non participating members we have)to sign up his boat and guests.Example: Stang's buddy Brian..

If there is a way around that it's really Keith's call. My suggestion is to have him just quickly register as a member...

Rieid,
You can sign up a second time with your name and one of your other boats. If that particular boat is not yet in the Diaries section, don't worry about it, I can add it in later.

I'll then give you a refund on the guests you signed up under your current registration.

Does that make any sense.

Which is my issue with signing up early, guest count is a variable, I have a hard time getting people to commit ahead of time. Might have something to do with my boat and engine currently being in about a million pieces and me not getting everything ready until a day after I was supposed to leave last year....

What's the matter Joe, not enough hours in the day???? We all know it's hard to get people to commit (especially the closer they live to the event). Please understand, we surely expected to have at least 100 people again if not more. There is a lot to consider and plan for. Contingency plans, sponsors, food etc.

Do whatever you can to get things ready by the deadline...

"Can you imagine a few dozen extra guests coming in under the wire and no place to put them during the dinner Sat night"

Gotta know in advance guys. Your guests won't be happy, and you I and Keith will be pretty embarrased.....

I will be in by the cutoff, but if we want a committed boat count before then I would need to be able to add guests up to the cutoff point. Maybe I already can and there is no issue?

Yes not enough hours in the day...

Hey Guys,
Don't let guest count keep you from registering now. Adding new guests is very easy and no problem right up to the deadline.

In the near future I'll build the ability to add them yourself. For now just email me about additional guest. I will need number of additional guests and their shirt sizes.

Thanks,
Keith

OK CCfan Nuts, we've got a month and a half to register for GL 08'. We've got 10 boats less and 50 guests than last year...

What do you say:
Madmarx, pallen, Stang's buddy Brian, Copcraft, 62 wood, 79 Nautique and all the rest of the Midwest lurkers....????????

We've got an even better reunion planned than last year. Representation from CC coming, great events, Dinners, door prizes and give aways.. ETC

Make this reunion part of your vacation plans. There is no better way to spend time with your family on the water with your CC and fellow enthusiasts. No other reunion even comes close....

No dissapointments.. Spread the word, and sign up today..

Don't be mad if I don't answer, Kristi doesn't like to be interupted while riding. And we'll be passed out and spent by then most likely anyway.

Well that would be nice if it was true.

John, we should be there late afternoon on the 5 until the 11-12. Take your cell phone and then look for a red Searay 250 express cruiser, a 24' gray/turq Powerplay, a 380 Nortec go fast(aka bigger is better), 24' green four winds. Well be tied up kicking back coldies in a cove somewhere everyday.

what marina are you going out of?

Moj, I see there are 27 boats so far for this year. Wasn't the registration number over 30 boats at this time last year? The economy and gas costs can't be helping out this year! Hopefully things improve otherwise we'll end up with the reunion in China!!

I believe there are still a few who have reservations for lodgings or have space at the campground who may have not yet registered. They need to get in gear and register so plans can be more finalized according to numbers. If I were in on the planning (which I am not) I would want to be getting a final count.

The registration was I believe 31 boats and 110 total people registered in 07'. Funny how even with the official CC reunions down for the year, that our turnout is lower at this point. We thought for sure we'd stare down 150 plus people this year.. We know there are a few hold outs for some reason, but we'll certainly not have more than we did last year..

And yes, Behl, we need to make sure we stick to the deadline. Food for Friday as well as the final number needed for the dinner at the Goose Blind need to be given and bought for..

I think we'll have a hot summer.. Temps are already spiking, so Bring on the water fun !!

Sorry to say, the lake was closed over the weekend due to high water. No real flooding, but lots of debris, so a no wake is in effect.. Supposed to be a dry week in Wisc. Hopefully it lowers by this weekend..
