I'm looking for a 66-69 mustang. Reasonable condition, operating but not necessarily a show piece. Looking in New England, NY or North Carolina.

Is Florida to far? Have you checked out /diaries/details.asp?ID=193&yrstart=&yrend= - Jerry Kashmer's 1969 Mustang ?

Tom,

I'm not an expert but I think the center console and twin sticks in Jerry's boat indicate the SS model (based on the '68 brochure pics.)

My reasons for wanting the mustang. I'm 49. When I was 11, my Dad traded the old wooden outboard (a Hiliner--a bit of a classic itself) for a yellow mustang. It was in the family for 15 - 20 years when my brother sold it (upstate NY have since lost track) I now want the small classic (to supplement the daily driver (a 89 supra comp...I know...I know...but its a good skier and still runs like a top.))

Larry- You are correct, the console is the trademark of an "SS" model.

Larry, are you still looking for the '69 Mustang. I have one that I have skied behind for 25 years! and it's yellow. It is not currently for sale..........but would not mind discussing and showing.

Sunnys,

Thanks for the response, but I'm all set. Bought a 75 ski tique last may. Not a 66 mustang like the old family boat, but close enough and I'm really enjoying it. You can see it in the Diaries section. So thanks. I'd keep your Mustang. I bet you'd regret letting it go.
