I was just wondering how most folks tie up their boat to a dock? I've never had a boat without tie downs (bow ties) on it to tie to the dock.

And if you are going to tie to a dock, what do you all use for bumpers? I don't care when my pontoon has those silly things hanging off the sides but no way am I hanging them off the side of a SN.

What does everyone do?

thanks,
chris

I have a rubber rail on the dock and dock line that goes to the pylon. That is only used for short stops anything longer then ten minutes or just coming in to change passangers and gear it goes on the lift.

Tie your anchor to the front of the boat and your ski rope to the front or back. push boat out from dock and chuck the anchor way out . Then tie ski rope to the dock , so you can retreve your boat later by pulling in on the ski rope . Be carefull that the anchor rope is not too short or you will maybe loose the anchor if it hits the bottom of the rope .

At a dock with a closed bow boat, I use two bumpers off the side. I use a bungee chord rope to the pylon, and one to the rear lifting ring. Regular rope will work fine as well, but the bungees are really convenient. BKH
