So, I'll be doing some work to install whatever pylon I can find (or make). I have a 1979 Southwind 20

The "hole in the floor" is there (patched with plywood) and a sump is currently occupying the bilge-front "socket" in the keel.

I would consider a "skylon" type of taller pylon as well - understanding that these types require a set of support lines to a bow-ring strap or similar.

Southwind pylon will likely be a little tougher to find.

The floor is further from the hull, influencing where the bend is.

Thank you - and thank you Hollywood.

If we can measure the available pylon - I can measure my boat.

The Southwind has a taller freeboard - the Barefoot somewhat shorter, and then most nautiques even shorter - by appearances.

It follows that the floor-to-hull keel distances correspond.

Hollywood - I did not realize the pylons had a "bend" Are you referring to the area of taper from a larger diameter down to a slightly narrower diameter at the base of the ring?
