Has anyone experienced a ticking sound as a result of a harmonic balancer wobble? I've tried ruling out this annoying ticking noise (like a stop watch) coming from the front end of my 351w. I do have some mild belt dust and not sure if this is something to tolerate or if I should be thinking of a plan of action. Thanks

I think I hear a slight tick from 76 at the RWP, very faint and intermittent. If your balancer is wobbling I’d be more concerned with that.

I would be pretty concerned . Depends on what kind it is. I have seen many of the rubber hub ones total come apart. Not a great day on the water. Should be a 28 oz or 50oz I am guessing ...not a difficult deal unless its really in there. Couple hundred and you'll be back in business.

All 351's are 28 oz does not matter what it's in or which way it turns. But being a righty the timing marks are different. Google damper rebuilding there are several places out there.

The mystery "ticking" has been solved...Port side exhaust manifold loose and can definitely benefit from a new set of gaskets. The balancer turned out to be just fine. Thanks for all the imput
