i have a 1995 super sport nautique and yesterday the rear sundeck which covers the engine stopped working. i hit the switch and i get nothing. anybody out there have this problem before?? also, anyway to open this cover manually.....thanks....fred buckman

Copied from some "other" site...

Take out the rear seat bottom and reach through the side to access the battery. There is a divider between the rear compartment and the backseat but you can push it out of the way to access the battery.

thanks hollywood, accessed the battery and found a blown fuse..works fine now. thanks for your help

hi nate, they will open manually if you remove the back access panels and crawl back under the deck cover and remove the hinge pin.
it is quite a project to remove the pin due to the cylinder being under pressure from the hydralics. i had to hammer it out. i should have checked the fuse first. dah!
