I was in an accident towing the Debonnaire two weeks ago in Orlando. I am fine. A teenager turned left on red and T-Boned both the truck and trailer. My truck and trailer are totaled, but the boat survived with minor scratches. I live in Atlanta, and had to leave the boat there until I can find a replacement trailer. I have looked into RamLin (who doesn't make trailers anymore apparently), BoatMate, and Load Master. I can't find anything that will be available this month, so now I am looking used. I am a CPA, and I get really busy January through April and I don't want to leave the boat down in Orlando until then. I am looking for a used trailer, single axle or tandem, that is roadworthy enough to make the 500 mile journey and work to store the boat for the next 6 months or so until I can get one made. I found a single axle Nautique trailer from the 90s or so, any idea if that will work? The service guy at Nautique of Orlando thought the weight distribution would be off with it. I will hopefully be replacing my car this week, and would like to have a trailer before the holidays. Any help is appreciated. I can loan you a new tandem 22' trailer to get it home safely but I need it back. Probably not the best solution. ------------- Jesus was a bare-footer............. |

Thanks for the help everyone, I appreciate the offers for loaner trailers and storage space but the boat is safe and sound at Nautique of Orlando currently. Based off the pcitures of the buckskin beauty, it confirms how I thought the bow of the boat would sit much higher on a trailer than the SN it was designed for. Not a huge deal, but shows that the trailer would not work long term without modification. Orlando76, thanks for the link to that trailer, it looks like a 3,500lb axle underneath. The reference section shows the Debonnaire @ 4,400 pounds so I would need a 6 lug or 5,200lb axle if going with a single axle trailer.
