Hey Guys,

This is my first time on here. Thanks!!! I have a 78 Ski Tique with the Ford 302. I have a bad vibration while running and swapped the prop to find the vibration disappear--Great--easy fix. But before I dump money into prop repair--Do I have the correct prop???
The boat will be dual use wakeboard/ tubing and cruzin with the fam. The prop I have Is a Columbian Hydroflite D13 x P14R 3 blade nibril prop. Is this a good prop for my needs before I repair it? It was better out of the hole and top end than the beat up 4 blade I have on it now. Thanks again guys.

Nope 13" diameter is too large for the Ski Tique hull. Original prop would have been a 12x14 Federal. More modern replacements would include the 12x13 and 12x14 OJ 3-blades, as well as the 1210 Acme (12.5x12 3-blade). The 1210 is the best performer of the bunch.

I found a good deal on an Acme 1210, will I loose top end with the 12 pitch?

Not typically. I certainly wouldn't expect as much compared to the less-than-optimal 13x14 you had on there.

Prop size (pitch diameter and cup) are not sufficient to compare props from different manufacturers. An Acme 1210 does not act anything like a 12x12 Federal... more like a 12x13 or slightly larger based on the wot rpm a 4bbl 302 in a 16' Correct Craft will pull them. Holeshot, midrange acceleration, smoothness, etc are all vastly different.

so based off of my description of how I plan to use my boat with at least 2 large adults and 2 kids both cruzing and wakeboarding the acme 1210 would be the best choice?

I bought a prop last year,I think I got 5% off from them. Can't find the discount code on here either. They still were the cheapest around.

Delta's ACME buying power is undoubtedly strong and they seem to pass that on to the consumer. I have still not seen any retailers come close to their prices.

Not coming up on my laptop must be the browser I'm using. I can see it on my phone right now though

Ok so I purchased the Acme 1210 and installed it the other day. OMG!!! This this thing is a rocket!!!! I am astounded in the increased performance over the 4 blade beat up OJ prop that I had on it. I seriously doubt you could hold onto a ski handle if I I punched it out of the hole. This thing is awesome. Thanks to TRBenj and everyone who pointed me in the right direction.
