I am replacing the dash panels on a "98 Air Tique and need help with the following:
1) How do I remove the little indicator lights from the old panel?
2) what is the function of the big red rocker switch on the panel and how is removed?
Thanks for your help guys...I am slowly learning I think but would be lost without the help from this forum.

For 1) I am pretty sure you need to cut the wire. I have a new "Check Engine:" plaque and want to install it but have put it off because I don't want to cut and rewire the light.

2) This is for the horn. The is a safety requirement and should work. If it doesn't you should get it fixed. Replacement switched are only about $20. Mine was pretty faded so I replaced it in the fall.

I appreciate the info, Blamey.. Not what I was hoping for. Lots of wires to spice and not much excess wire or room back there.

The horn switch snaps from behind. Be careful, it's probably brittle some 18 years later. IIRC you actually have to take it apart to remove it. The indicator lights are attached by push nuts, best off buying new ones and breaking and prying the old to remove. I ended up actually super gluing my indicator lights in because the dash panels from Nautiqueparts were drilled too large and fit was sloppy.

I bought the same panels and also thought the holes looked large. Thanks.
