Yes, this year is a mini, meaning it isn't a year where there is a registration, fees, dinners, special guests etc. Its just a weekend of boating with a casual gathering of CCFan's that want to come out. We usually reserve the park however for a Sat night (cook what you brought) type evening..

Will either be July 9th or 16th weekend..

Moj'

PS: We might hold a mini instead down on Lake Schafer in Montecello, IN just to change things up a bit... Plenty of camping and lodging, bars, warm, calmer water, amusement park etc.. There will be a separate thread to see what interest we can drum up..

GL Update..
The date for the Green Lake weekend will be July 16-18th.
Mark your calendars if you'd like to come out and enjoy meeting up. Remember, its a "mini" this year, so there's no scheduled dinners etc. Sat night will be a BYOM, BYOB gathering in the park, or we might say screw it and stay on the water into dusk if the weather looks like it's going to be great...

See you all then.. Any lodging questions, let us know...

I am a maybe this year, but keeping the event in Wisconsin increases the likely hood. 5 1/2 months.

We're in.....staying in Oshkosh. Just curious if we can moor or dock our boat overnight or if we have to put back on trailer at night. Would rather not haul back and forth to Oshkosh. Never been to Green Lake before so not familiar with the resort or surroundings.

Oh geez don't do that... That drive will kill you. If you are spending big money stay at the Heidel House right on Green Lake. If you want something affordable, see if you can get in at one of the local Green Lake hotels, they are all clean. If you want to go with a chain, look at Boulder Inn or Comfort Suites in Ripon. Those places are both really nice too.

Peter,
That's great that you'll be coming up and spending time with us on Green.. Not sure how many nights you plan on staying, but if you plan on spending anytime with this group, and enjoy a few libations, you not only will maximize the fun, but you'll be 1000 times more safe by staying right in the city of Green Lake. The average price for a night in town is around $125 dollars.. You will eat that up in gas alone going back and forth. Oshkosh is a haul at the end of the day.. Spending the evening up in the park on Sat night, followed by a visit to our beloved Goose Blind is not to be missed. Even more reason to stay local..

Anyway, yes,you can moor the boat in the main marina . Cost is about $50 bucks per night.. If you decide to go that route, you can leave the trailer at my house, or the whole rig there is you decide to hoof it back and forth. At least that way you don't have to deal with the rig to and from..
Id really consider staying up at the lake. Visit the chamber sight for a list of hotels. Way safer and a hell of a lot more fun.... www.visitgreenlake.com/

Look forward to seeing you there...

Hey Fans...
Its been brought to my attention that I didn't really post the correct dates in that we have always started this reunion off on a Friday, and the 16th of July is a Sat.. That being said, I thought to call this out and make sure everyone was on board. With this being a "non official" reunion year, but like all years, we usually get together on Friday whether it be on the water or at the Goose.. Sat will be a "cook what you bring" type thing at the park. Sun in water all day and for many of us we stay until Monday, as the water is always the best..

So the dates are July 15th-17th, but I think you all get it anyways.. Just want to be PC here

Side note, As far as Green Lake goes, I its the fastest the lake opened up that I can remember. Depending on the kind of Spring we have, the water should warm up pretty well this year...

Ok, Time to start some buzz in here....
Who's coming ??? Lets start a list..

This year again is a "unofficial" CCFan Mini in Green Lake... Just means its a less formal, quieter gathering than the normal blow outs that we get when it is "official"..

Friday most roll in and enjoy the afternoon on the lake.. Afterwards its typically a visit to the Goose Blind for a couple cocktails...
Sat is the typical gathering in the shallows while enjoying others boats etc and the occasional speed pass when barney's not watching... Evening is spent in the Park while we typically cook out and relax etc..
Sun is again a whatever day, same as Monday as some stay over to enjoy the empty lake Sun afternoon this year will be the local Marina's "Boat Jam" which is live music in the cove top of floating barges..

So chat it up... Its a great time.. Hope to see you all out there..

Probably not Pauly as it's long hop to drag the little guy. If I did attend, I'll just fly in. Good excuse for me to drive everyone else's boats. That weekend is pretty close to those of us attending a Lake X gathering and I have a wedding to attend to the weekend of the 23.

Just when I thought this was a sure thing, we're out. Even convinced my daughter to skip her swim team awards dinner so that we could attend. Unfortunately, a couple of minor medical issues are going to take us out of the game. Wife and kid are more disappointed than I am. I don't think I'd ever be able to go to GL without them. BKH

Hey all, we've decided to organize the following for this years get together.

Friday Night,
We'll gather for an informal boat show in the parking lot next to the legion hall. Simple meet and greet for awhile. See who brought what, down a few soda's and talk boats... It will be easy as their will be room for trucks to stay with the boats..

Sat Night,
We rented the big 6 foot charcoal grill and will have it available and in the park Sat for anyone to use to cook with.. Then off to the Goose..

Its been hot... Water is heating up... Even up to Jbears standards lol

Looking forward to seeing you all..

Will try to get out there Fri eve and to the bay Sat aft. with the '75 SkiTique. Last time I dropped it in the water it didn't want to fire up so I hope to be able to make time to look into it but I don't expect there to be a big problem. If the big boys from NY don't show, it may be the fastest boat. If anyone wants a ride, just holler.

Is there going to be anything for sale at Green Lake this year? Last year I came over to the boat show on Friday night and I am still kicking my self for not putting an offer in on the avacodo green Cuda that was there.

I'd be up to listening to an offer for my '75 SkiTique w/ a 270hp Chevy 350; if it's persuasive enough it could be successful, but I'm not expecting the unreasonable. Have a '78 Century 2000 w/ Mercruiser 898 that won't be there (non CC) that's definately up for sale.

Ok Reunion goers.. Here's what's been set up for us this weekend.

Friday:
Find us out in the shallows during the day if you arrive early enough...
Then for those who want to bring a boat and display it Friday night, we'll gather at the Legion Hall parking lot in town at 6pm. Bring your coolers and chairs. We'll have some games, music etc..

Sat:
We'll be on the water all day then will gather at Deacon Mills park next to the ramp at 6pm and will set up the grills for cooking whatever you bring. They'll be plenty of space on the grills so you don't have to bring one if you're planning to grill out.

We'll have prep tables, cooking utensils etc to help you stage your protein...
Bring your cooler full and enjoy....

Sunday:
Supposed to be the nicest day with temps in the mid 80's. Lake Jam will be going on in the shallows.. Should be a great time..

Look forward to seeing everyone in a few days. Any questions, please let me know...

Found my problem with the SkiTique where it would start but would stall immediately as soon as the key was released from the "start" position. One of the wires to the ballast resistor was almost completely broken but two or three strands still were good and held it in place so it was not easily seen. Couldn't carry enough current to fire the coil that way. Soldered it and she fires up and runs good now, so I should be able to make it out to the Bay Sat afternoon.

I still stink at posting photos but this was a shot from the sand bar on Geeen Lake on Saturday. It was a beautiful day with warm breezes, a few passing clouds and a lot of beautiful people (oh and a few boats too!). Tryathle and Wife and Daughter enjoyed the knee to waist deep water and a few cool boat rides! Mojo--thanks for the use of your lawn and driveway and the instruction on how to work the trailer brake hitch ( I'm a dummy).

Oh and all that talk about the Jeep burning oil--parking brake stayed on from the launch to your place 🙀 Smoookin!

The boat show! This year Mojo rented the lot so that no baseball batting practice morons could pepper Alan's tow vehicle. They still parked on the lot until a mad Mojo (no you do t want to see that) chased them away %3ca%20href=" rel="nofollow"> ]Is this a Classic or what![/URL]

For next year and stay on the lake. We liked our hotel in Oshkosh but we ain't doin that again.
